i need a new watch.

March 05th, 2008 | Category: gadgets

is this the next watch?it is with great sadness that my watch has broken. and it seems it will take months, plus too much money to have it repaired. so much for fossil’s 11 year warranty. it only covers the watch works. the cyrstal, band, clasp, and other external (and most physically tested) parts are not. so while i do love this watch and it’s digital gears on the face, it might be time for a change. i am going to shop around, and if i see nothing i like, then i’ll get the watch fixed. however, this one did pop up today, and it is not out of the price range. what do you think? comments appreciated.

ps. i will be working some long days this weekend, free lancing at the caa tourney, so starting tomorrow, blogs might be scarce from me. that basically means onerythym and i will have less of our own stuff to read. =)

internet punch: the best newsblog team in the universe!

March 04th, 2008 | Category: teh news

it’s true. we took on anderson cooper and keith olbermann in a fatal 3 way and those twochamps got so out of control outside the ring, that they both got counted out. that leaves internet punch as the undisputed best at the elections! just wait till wrestlemania, when we get o’reilly in the steel cage!

jk jk, but tonight, i will be watching texas and ohio pretty closely with the best political team evar: me, my tv, and my computer. guest corespondent tvar will also drop in with the latest updates on stuff he wants to say. so yeah, i’ll be locked into that most of the evening (read: i’ll be really into it for the first 20 minutes, then leave it on while i play psp or im with people). however, i won’t be watching fox news. they are teh sux. kthxobamai!

web dump: lego edition

March 03rd, 2008 | Category: games, legos, web dump

so it won’t all be about legos, but it very well could, and maybe should be. who doesn’t love legos? they are a favorite of onerythym and myself. of all the building materials from our childhood, what is better? not lincoln logs, tinker toys, erector sets, or blocks…i mean blocks, really?

so we start today, with the next gen of legos: the lego batman trailer! the folks over at g4 also busted a good lego april fools joke from the pages of electronic gaming monthly.

lego batman looks to be picking up where lego star wars left off except with one majo differnece. while in lsw you could use bad guys to complete the games missions, jostiq says today, you can actually BE THE BAD GUYS in lego batman.

i guess joystiq has a lego affliction like we do here at internet punch, becuase they also had some sweet news about the lego indiana jones game.

and if those games make it to pc, well why not combine the fun?

so outside of the world of legos, moldawer in the morning (who’s podcast i check out on the regular), has finally lost it with the hillary bashing. at least someone has a sense of humor about this.

in breaking news, the olsen twins know how to read and write! and not only that, 23/6 is reporting they are making a book! besides that sample page, initial reports say the book will weigh 4 times as much as both of them combined.

and finally, i love hip hop, but even this is hard for me to follow.

i’m off to play more metal gear portable ops. all that mgs4 talk last week gave me the itch.

Easy Ringtone Maker

If you are like me, you refuse to pay $$$$ for ringtones. Some phones are either difficult or impossible. Audiko makes ringtones easy, fun, and free. And yes, it works on the iPhone.

it’s not even real to me anymore.

i forget that george w. bush is our president. i forget what a complete joke he is. i could spend hours upon hours sitting here stringing together negative adjectives about the commander and chief, but what is the point? of course, that is the difference between mr. bush and me. if he felt this way, he would stay the course, and you would all be as tired of reading them as we are of having him in the white house.

when seeing people like barack obama, hillary clinton, and even john mccain in front of crowds, on television, in radio interviews, with ideas. intelligent thoughts strung together to propse possible solutions. realistic goals about policies. having factual information to offer about the current state of affairs in this country and the issues they face. it’s amazing!

but it shouldn’t be. that is like a police officer bragging about arresting a criminal. or me boasting about showing up to work on time. it’s what we are supposed to do! has george w. bush beaten us down with his idiocy to the point where we are actually shocked, when presidential candidates are…presidential? i know they are trying to win us all over with big talk, and it might not turn out, but it sounds very realistic.

it’s a truly sad state of affairs. and i know, if some of you keep up with this, i hammered hillary clinton for the bush bashing earlier in the week. but there is a distinct difference here: i blog to blow off steam, and i’m not trying to use this to win a presidential ticket. so i will reiterate, let her stick to the campaign trail and telling me what she wants to do, not what someone else hasn’t done. leave the presidential bashing to the faceless voices of the internet. it is better for everyone that way.

but honestly, if you want to leave it to anyone, leave it to keith olbermann, the host of countdown on msnbc. he torches bush nearly every day with facts, figures, and information (and got me fired up to write this post). the truth? what a novel concept and quite the weapon for change when used the right way. he picked apart the president’s latest encounter with the press better than i could. take a look and shake your head in disgust with me.
